Indian Army Agniveer registration happens on joinindianarmy.nic.in. The Army's amended e-book on the Agniveer recruitment process (11 February 2026) says candidates upload a recent colour passport-size photograph of 5 KB to 20 KB and a scanned signature of 5 KB to 10 KB. We could not open this e-book on the official website itself, so treat these numbers as per the latest notification and check the limit shown on the registration page.

The Army Recruiting Office notifications for the 2026 registration warn that you must upload only a recent photograph: if the photo does not match your face, you will not be allowed to appear for any test. For the rally and document verification you also need twenty copies of unattested passport-size colour photographs on good photo paper, with a white background, not more than three months old.

How to resize your Agniveer photo and signature

1. Photo tab: tap "Choose photo" and pick a recent colour photo with a white background.
2. Centre your face, then tap "Download JPG" (5–20 KB).
3. Signature tab: photograph your signature on white paper and tap "Download JPG" (5–10 KB).
4. Upload both on joinindianarmy.nic.in and compare with the limits shown there.
5. Get 20 printed copies of the same photo (white background) for the rally.

Common mistakes that get the form rejected

• Old photo that does not match your face; the Army notification says you will not be allowed to appear in tests.
• Signature file above 10 KB (a normal phone photo is hundreds of times bigger).
• Photo with cap, dark glasses or a busy background.
• Printed rally photos older than three months or not on a white background.
