In the latest Railway Recruitment Board notices (for example CEN No. 06/2026, NTPC Graduate), you are not required to upload a pre-existing photograph. The photo is a live image captured during the online application against a plain white background, with your head covering at least 50% of the photo, eyes fully open, no cap, mask or glasses, and plain dark (non-white) clothes. It is checked against your photo ID, and a picture of a printed or old photograph is rejected.
The signature rules are strict. It must be written by you with a black ink pen on white paper, in running (cursive/joined) handwriting, not in BLOCK, CAPITAL or disjointed letters. The file must be a JPG/JPEG between 30 KB and 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels, scanned at a minimum of 100 DPI, and the signature should sit centred in a 35 mm × 20 mm box.

How to resize your Railway RRB photo and signature
- Sign in running handwriting with a black pen on plain white paper.

Common mistakes that get the form rejected
- Signature in BLOCK or CAPITAL letters (listed by RRB as a ground for rejection).
- Blue or coloured ink, or a non-white background.
- File below 30 KB. Many free tools compress too much; RRB needs at least 30 KB.
- Signature cut at the edges, blurred or too small.
- Thumb impression or any other image in place of the signature.

What is the RRB NTPC signature size?

Do I upload a photo for RRB?
No photo file. The RRB form captures a live photo with your camera, and it is matched with your photo ID.
Can I sign in capital letters for Railway?

Are the sizes same for Group D and ALP?
